Bullets, shellings, FPV: “ZMIY Logistic” successfully evacuated a soldier under enemy fire

The ground robotic complex “ZMIY Logistic” by Rovertech continues its successfully work at the frontline, evacuating Ukrainian soldiers. Not so long ago, it helped to bring to safety a seriously wounded soldier of the 11th separate assault battalion of the 59th brigade, STEPOVI KHIZHAKI in the Pokrovsk direction.

The robot picked up the soldier directly from the contact line, under intense enemy fire. Russian positions were only 20 meters away. The UGV withstood hits from 5.45 caliber bullets, close explosions of 152 mm shells, a mine explosion, and an attack by an enemy FPV drone.

“This is not the first time that the “ZMIY Logistic” has shown its high efficiency on the frontline. You can see with our own eyes how it worked in extremely difficult conditions to save the life of one of our defenders. We were glad to hear that he is safe, and all this is partially thanks to the work of Rovertech machinery.

We are convinced that in the future all UGVs should be like the “ZMIY Logistic” – reliable, hardy to the conditions they meant for. Even after losing contact with the operator due to the intensity of the shelling, thanks to its durability, the “ZMIY” protected the soldier until control was restored. This is not something extraordinary or fantastic – this is the reality of saving human lives right now,” commented Bogdan Zmiy, the company’s director.

“We are also very grateful to Petro, our lead engineer, who helped soldiers during this mission, when communication was lost. We are all ready to be online 24/7 so that each mission is as successful as possible,” emphasized Borys Drozhak, co-founder of the company.

The intensity of the shelling caused a temporary loss of communication, which also affected the “ZMIY”. For an hour and a half, the crew, together with the Rovertech team, tried to restore control of the complex. In the end, communication was restored, and the robot successfully delivered the wounded man to the evacuation point, where doctors were already waiting for him. The soldier is alive and is currently receives needed medical treatment.
