During Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, Ukrainian defence-tech company Rovertech and French technology company STRONGHOLD AI signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a strategic partnership. Under the agreement, STRONGHOLD AI joins Rovertech’s TARANTULA Active Protection Programme as a technology partner.
The cooperation focuses on the joint development of solutions designed to counter aerial drone threats and enhance the survivability of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), military vehicles, and stationary assets.
TARANTULA is Rovertech’s active protection programme aimed at developing systems capable of detecting and countering short-range aerial threats. The programme’s first phase is focused on protecting unmanned ground vehicles from FPV drone attacks.
The first joint development under the partnership will be AURA, an intelligent aerial threat detection and tracking system that leverages artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced sensor analysis technologies. Within the TARANTULA programme, AURA is expected to become one of the key components of a future active protection system for robotic platforms.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks another step in the expansion of the TARANTULA ecosystem and demonstrates the growing interest of international technology companies in collaborating on solutions shaped by Ukraine’s battlefield experience.
