Invictus Global Response Receives “Zmiy” v 1.2 from Rovertech as Part of a Partnership

Rovertech has handed over the mechanical demining system “Zmiy” v 1.2 to the international humanitarian demining organization Invictus Global Response (IGR). This will significantly enhance IGR’s capabilities and help the organization demine Ukrainian territories even more efficiently.

“Our cooperation with IGR is aimed at promoting the use of Ukrainian-made technologies in the field of demining. First and foremost, we strive to ensure that the demining of Ukrainian lands happens as quickly as possible. Today, ‘Zmiy’ is one of the most effective tools to achieve this goal.

Moreover, using equipment made in Ukraine supports the national economy and reduces dependence on costly foreign solutions. The cost of the ‘Zmiy’ system is 40 times lower than comparable conventional solutions. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with IGR and are always open to such partnerships aimed at accelerating the pace of demining in our country,” commented Bohdan Zmii, Director of Rovertech.

As part of its operations, IGR primarily conducts non-technical surveys, technical surveys, battle area clearance, manual clearance, EOD Operations, and Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV Clearance) activities in complex environments

The idea of Invictus Global Response was born in 2022 during the early stages of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the organization was officially established in 2023.

The mission of the IGR is to conduct demining and explosive ordnance disposal, raise awareness among the civilian population about explosive hazards, and more. IGR aims to provide sustainable, cost-effective support to local organizations, partners, and affected communities to scale up demining efforts and develop capacity in this field.
