Rovertech joins forces with the charity fund “Demining of Ukraine” to implement advanced technologies in humanitarian demining. The goal of this collaboration is to develop a new technology that will allow clearing up to 10 hectares of land daily, ensuring the rapid and efficient removal of explosive devices (EDs) from Ukrainian territories. This will significantly accelerate the demining process, which is currently often limited to a productivity of 1 hectare per day when using large-scale equipment.
A New Approach to Demining by Rovertech and “Demining of Ukraine”
The unique technology being developed by Rovertech and “Demining of Ukraine” utilizes advanced equipment, including the “Zmiy” mine-clearing drone (GRCS Zmiy), which allows for a significant reduction in the cost and time of demining. The combination of technologies from the two companies enables the clearing of up to 10 hectares of land daily. These are not just theoretical developments—the practical tests have confirmed the effectiveness of the new methodology, ushering in a new era in Ukrainian demining.
Certification and Scaling Plans
Currently, Rovertech and “Demining of Ukraine” are working on standardizing and certifying the technology for large-scale implementation in Ukraine. After completing all legal procedures, this methodology will be available to sapper teams in all regions, significantly speeding up humanitarian demining and enhancing safety on Ukrainian lands.

The main areas of the foundation’s activity include developing its own demining algorithm, assembling mobile sapper teams, mechanized demining, and educating the population about mine hazards. The foundation actively operates in various regions of the country, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions.
