On October 3, 2024, Rovertech presented its innovative solutions at the Security 2.0 Exhibition and Forum — the main security event in Ukraine. Security 2.0 brought together leading experts and companies working on creating a safe environment, including demining technologies, cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, and personal safety tools.
Drone Deminer “Zmiy” — Rovertech’s Innovation in Demining
At the demonstration session of the Security 2.0 forum, Rovertech presented its advanced development — the “Zmiy” (GRCS Zmiy) demining drone. Designed for humanitarian and combat demining, the “Zmiy” drone ensures the rapid clearing of large areas with minimal risk to sappers. During the demonstration, the drone showed high efficiency in challenging conditions, such as densely vegetated areas and locations with anti-tank mine risks, providing a safe and cost-effective demining process.
Innovations at Security 2.0
Security 2.0 became a platform for presenting advanced technologies from industry leaders. In addition to Rovertech, unmanned aerial photography systems, robotic field complexes, specialized tools for explosive destruction, and the latest humanitarian demining technologies were demonstrated. Participants exchanged experiences on the most effective approaches to mine action.
Key Speakers and International Support
The importance of the event was confirmed by the speeches of key speakers, including Roman Shakhmatenko (UNDP), Ruslan Berehula (Ministry of Defense of Ukraine), and Serhii Reva (SES). The event was supported by international partners, including UNDP, the embassies of Japan, Sweden, and the Netherlands, highlighting the importance of Ukrainian technologies for the global community.
Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine: Achievements and Challenges
As of 2022, approximately 174,000 km² of territory in Ukraine was mined. Thanks to the efforts of sappers, the area of land dangerous to people has been reduced by 35,000 km², which is a significant achievement for the country. This process is also crucial for global food security, as Ukraine is one of the leading grain exporters, supplying products to 57 countries worldwide.
Security 2.0 — A Platform for Innovation and International Cooperation
Over its 27-year existence, Security 2.0 has become an important platform for sharing experiences and cooperation between government institutions, private companies, and international organizations. The demonstration session showcased not only technological capabilities but also the joint efforts of specialists to save lives and ensure safety in Ukraine. Rovertech, along with other Ukrainian companies, presented their advanced developments, contributing to improving safety levels in Ukraine and supporting international standards.
