In August 2024, Rovertech made a significant breakthrough in the field of demining by introducing the first Ukrainian rotor mine-clearing drone, GRCS “Zmiy” v1.2. After successful certification from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (MOD) and inclusion in the NATO catalog (NCS) under code 1385-61-017-9747, “Zmiy” received the status of an official mine-clearing device for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Zmiy” v1.2 is a compact mine-clearing drone weighing up to 6 tons, ensuring effective demining in hard-to-reach areas. Its rotor mechanism allows for the quick and safe clearing of large areas, destroying anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. The compact size and modular design make it ideal for front-line conditions, where every minute is crucial for the safety of the military.

What Is the Codification of Military Equipment?
The codification of military equipment is the process of standardizing and assigning a unique code to simplify the identification, procurement, and logistics of equipment. After codification according to Resolution No. 345 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, military units can submit official requests for the procurement of “Zmiy” through the Ministry of Defense, significantly speeding up the supply process.

In 2023, the declared need was for 468 mine-clearing devices to enhance safety at the front. GRCS “Zmiy” is capable of meeting these needs by offering fast and efficient demining.
